I have many years’ experience in instructing highly nervous and anxious learner drivers. ASD, Driving Phobias, and Internationally Licenced students as well as conducting Aged Driver and Trauma/Disability assessments.
My Super Power is: Patience and my extensive knowledge of licencing requirements including my calm and concise teaching methods. I am passionate about driving and enjoy teaching drivers of all abilities the skills and knowledge to confidently and successfully to pass their driving assessment.
Why I love my job: The satisfaction of watching students grinning from ear to ear when they drive away with self-confidence, knowing that they will be safe and enjoying the freedom and pleasure that driving brings as much as I do.
In a previous life other than as a Driving Instructor: I spent 22 years in the Royal Australian Air Force in various roles and locations. Worked as Funeral Director, Business and Management trainer/assessor and a part-time taxi driver in Sydney.
When I am not working: You’ll find me on the golf course; watching Brisbane Roar, Brisbane Broncos, Queensland Reds or perhaps clunking away on the computer researching my family history, perhaps, engrossed in the latest F1 race.
Nevertheless, it highly likely that I will be involved in my Rotary Club activities, as I am passionate about helping others in need within the community.
