My Experience: I have been a driving instructor in both QLD and NSW for many years and have enjoyed teaching 100's of students from brand new to mature age and international drivers. 20+ years conducting one on one training. Also I am a Qualified NSW Police driver trainer, development and operational coordinator of Royal Australian Air Force defensive driving courses. I am also a mentor for Gold Coast Migrant Safe 2 Drive program assisting new migrants and refugees to obtain a driver licence.
My Super Power is: My extensive knowledge and calm and concise teaching methods. I am passionate about driving, and enjoy teaching drivers of all abilities the skills and knowledge to successfully and safely pass their driving tests. I am very experienced instructing nervous and anxious learners as well as international students.
Why I love my job: The satisfaction of watching students grinning from ear to ear when they drive away with a shiny new P plate, knowing that they will be safe and confident and enjoying the experience and pleasure that driving brings as much as I do.
In a previous life: I spent 22 years in RAAF in various roles and locations. Worked as Funeral Director, Business and Management trainer and Driver Instructor. Part-time taxi driver in Sydney.
When I am not working: You’re likely to find me on the golf course, watching A league soccer or Rugby. Maybe clunking away researching my family history.
However, it more likely that I will involved in my Rotary Club activities as I am passionate about helping others in need within the community.
