Updated 06th  August

Hi, everyone. We have been following the QLD health updates closely and our instructors continue to follow the updated health directive.

Our current intention is as follows:

  • we continue to plan on this being a short lockdown
  • our call centre is planned to return to normal operations on Monday 9th August (subject to any announcements over this weekend)
  • our instructor diaries are open for online bookings from Monday 9th August.
  • if the lockdown is extended or altered we will update our plans as quickly as we can.

Thank you for your patience and support as we deal with this challenging environment.

We look forward to continuing our services next week.

Stay safe.

Updated 9am August 2nd.

* QLD Transport have now formally confirmed that Driving Tests have been cancelled.
We will work with impacted customers to reschedule tests as best we can.

* Due to the work environment, our call centre will remain closed - you can manage your bookings online or by contacting us via email:  info "at" rightwaydriving.com.au
Our team is working remotely where possible to deal with customer questions and requests. These are processed in the order they arrive, please only leave 1 request.

* Many instructors have opted to cancel lessons. If this is the case you will receive a cancellation email. Otherwise your lesson will go ahead as scheduled.

Updated: 11:30 August 1st:

* Lessons are on
* Online sales, support and bookings operating as normal
** Our call centre will be closed until Tuesday as we prepare for remote operations **
Please log in to your account to make changes to your bookings.
Lessons are going ahead as scheduled unless your Driving Instructor has cancelled. If you have not received notification that your specific lesson is cancelled, then you lesson is going ahead.
We still have no formal notification that Tests are cancelled, however there is a comment on Facebook indicating this is the case. Hoping to have this confirmed on Monday,
If you want to read the official health directive click here.
Refer to Schedule (3) - note we are NOT listed as a RESTRICTED Business and can therefore continue to operate.
Stay safe, wear a mask and enjoy your lesson.
Original Post from Sat 31st

Well, love a lock down announced on a Saturday morning!

First of all, we will work within the guidelines and with a focus on taking the official QLD Health Advice to guide our actions.

Here is the Public Health Directive

(link updated 1/8/21)

We are currently asking instructors to confirm their availability and will contact any impacted customers once we know their intentions. Please remember that everyone has unique circumstances and will make judgements based ensuring the health and safety of their own family circumstances. Please respect any disruption and know that it is being done with good intentions, not as a personal attack.

QLD TRANSPORT APPEAR TO HAVE CANCELLED TESTS . Check here for details.

Like everyone, we are trying to assess the public information and update our plans as the information becomes available or changes.

Please note our Call Centre will be closed on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd of August. There will be significant delays in processing messages until our services are fully restored.

We will update this blog with any changes as they are implemented.
